already have in various formats could be useful for
your web site.
Text
- computer file format in rich text (RTF), desk
pad, simple text, WordPerfect, Word.
Graphics
- any previously printed
documents in high quality colour - not too small (because
they cannot be enlarged effectively) original photography
such as - prints, transparencies from 35mm up. Illustrations
in any format (although if larger than A3 they will
need to be photographed to reduce the size for scanning).
If you have access to digital file format pictures
the following could be used: Photoshop; Corel; Freehand
and Illustrator; JPEG; GIFF; TIFF; PICT; BMP; PCX;
EPS and TARGA.
Sound
- audio tapes and CD’s can be converted into digital
format and if you have access to digital format any
of the following sound formats may be useful: AIFF,
WAV, AU, MIDI, QuickTime.
Just a warning with sound - consider the inconvenience
in an office situation where your user may disturb
others and also sound does take more time to load
in a browser.
Video
- video-tape can also be used as can the following
video formats: Beta tape, S tape, Digital or DVD,
MPEG, MP3, QuickTime, and Video for Windows Files.

graphic
formats used for presentations might be convertible
